Red Decker buses depart from the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre in Hobart. Its a short 10 minute walk from the Cruise Ship Terminal. On busy cruise ship days, our entire fleet of 6 iconic red open-top and closed-top double decker buses can be seen touring the city.

Instructions
  • The tours depart from the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre which is a 10 minute walk from the Cruise Ship Terminal. Departs on the hour from 9am to 3pm daily. On busy days additional services are run. Operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.
  • Use your ticket all day to hop on and hop off at any of the designated bus stops. Hop on a later bus to continue the tour

Restrictions
  • A Child ticket is valid for children between the ages of 5 - 15 years of age. Children under the age of 5 may travel free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Frequency may vary on cruise ship days. Please check with the bus driver for specific scheduling

    Where is the best place to join the tour?

Make your way to Bus Stop A - Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre, a short ten minute walk from the Cruise Ship Terminal.
At the end of your tour, hop off at Stop T - Victoria Dock to walk back to your cruise ship. Please note Stop T is hop off only, no pick ups.

    How many places will I be able to get off and visit & still get back to the ship

This will depend on the time you want to spend at the locations. With 7 departures every day, there's plenty of opportunities to hop off and explore Hobart's attractions. You can choose how many and which places you'd like to visit

    Can we visit the Cascade Brewery on this service?

Yes you can hop off and visit Cascade Brewhouse and Cascade Brewery. Please note access to Cascade Brewery is only available by joining a tour. It's best to pre-book your Brewery Tour before you arrive

    Are all the buses open topped?

No. There is a mixture of closed and open top buses and these are chosen based on the weather and demand on the day.

    Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes our fleet of modern double-decker buses are wheelchair accessible.
